The 3.0 version of the XFL is not going well in the ratings department.
XFL week two has come and gone, and although it has brought a ton of excitement with the play on the field between teams, the league is not getting fans at home to tune in like they would want.
We saw four more games this weekend, featured on ESPN, ESPN2, and FX channels. Now, official XFL TV ratings have been released for each matchup.
Heads up: It’s not good.
The XFL averaged 655,000 TV viewers in Week 2, a nearly 50 percent dip from the reformed league’s opening weekend.
- Seattle Sea Dragons vs. St. Louis Battlehawks (FX): 553,000
- Vegas Vipers vs. DC Defenders (FX): 601,000
- Orlando Guardians vs. San Antonio Brahmas (ESPN): 781,000
- Houston Roughnecks vs. Arlington Renegades (ESPN2): 678,000

The 50% decline from Week 1 to Week 2 was sharper than that of the prior XFL three years ago, which dropped 34% from 3.1 to 2.1 million.
As many fans have pointed out, there hasn’t been much traction to inform them that games are been playing on certain games, and in the social media world, things can get lost with so much going on in the world.
The XFL can only go up from here. At least they hope.
