Fans are sending support to the legendary Jim Ross following a medical update from the iconic wrestling announcer.
Ross revealed he needed to make an “unexpected” visit to the emergency room on Thursday morning due to shortness of breath.
“Unexpected trip to ER in Norman this morning,” the 72-year-old shared on Twitter/X. “Shortness of the breath. That’s all for now.”
Given Ross’ many health complications over the years, including skin cancer, fans were naturally worried.
“Praying it’s not serious,” one wrote in response to Jim’s tweet.
Another commented, “Praying for a sense of relief, and hope any issues are fixed. Love ya!”

Jim Ross Appears To Be Doing Better
Jim Ross has since shared another tweet showing a photo of himself in a hospital bed between his two daughters.
“Dad and his two Angels! They truly love their Daddy,” he wrote.
The WWE Hall of Famer, who has been with AEW since 2019, had successful hip surgery in February.
As mentioned above, he has previously battled skin cancer. He declared himself cancer-free in December of 2021. Ross took some time away from his post at AEW after suffering a nasty fall last year.
Meanwhile, the HOFer recently rated his new employers “a solid B” for their first five years. The promotion has gone from strength to strength, though it lost Cody Rhodes to WWE.
“A lot of things that can be improved upon like anybody else’s company,” he said during an appearance on ‘Busted Open Radio’ (H/T WrestleZone). “AEW’s challenge right now, to me, is creating new stars. Somebody on that brand has got to get hot, and that’s gonna be. I think what they need now is somebody’s got to get hot. I’m not gonna go into all the reasons why somebody’s not and all that dirt sheet stuff.
“Nonetheless, we gotta get somebody hot. Somebody’s gotta pull themselves up and tighten their belt and lets go. Creative can get you in the ring, but once you get in the ring, it’s up to the talent at that point, in my estimation.”
