The discoveries on Vince McMahon continue to get worse.
The former WWE Chairman and CEO paid a total of $5 million to the now-dissolved Donald J. Trump Foundation in 2007 and 2009, per Joe Palazzolo and Ted Mann of the Wall Street Journal.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the payments should’ve been disclosed.
“Vince McMahon made payments totaling $5 million to Donald Trump’s charity in 2007 and 2009. WWE’s board found they should have been disclosed as company expenses,” the report states.
That money reportedly served as a portion of the $19.6 million in unrecorded company expenses that McMahon should have disclosed. The bulk of those payments were in response to allegations of sexual misconduct against McMahon and another WWE executive.
Amid the allegations, McMahon stepped down from the company, handing WWE off to his daughter Stephanie and executive Nick Khan.
