Former WWE superstar “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan was involved in a pretty strange situation earlier this month.
The wrestling legend has had numerous battles in the squared circle during his prime and he’s had to fight cancer since. But this latest experience was probably one of the most concerning… at first.
Jim Duggan’s Still Got It
Duggan, 68, was recently interviewed by Wrestling Inc. and told the publication he had to deal with a home invasion on Thursday, December 8. The 68-year-old said a man appearing to be in his mid-20s broke into his South Carolina home around 6:45 PM that evening and he had to take the intruder to the ground before pulling a .44 caliber pistol on him.
Jim’s wife, Debra was also home and must have been shocked to see an unfamiliar man burst through their space. To make matters worse, they heard other folks yelling close by.
Fearing that more trouble was on the way, Duggan had his wife turn off their lights and asked the intruder to be quiet.
A Surprising Turn Of Events
The younger man, described as hysterical, claimed he was being chased and had knocked on several doors in the neighborhood to seek refuge due to “a separate legal matter” before letting himself into Duggan’s house through an unlocked front door.

Duggan, who was unwilling to press charges, said he kept the intruder down and waited for the police.
“Thank God we didn’t shoot him,” he said.
Duggan has also praised South Carolina’s Kershaw County Sherriff’s Department for their quick response.
“We would like to thank the Kershaw County Sherriff’s Department for their prompt and professional response last week,” he said. “Thanks to everyone for the concern and well wishes.”
