Newly Minted WWE Hall of Famer Stacy Keibler has posted a video to social media showing just how excited she was ahead of her induction last month.
Keibler was among the newest class of inductees, marking an incredible achievement, having grown up a fan of WCW and WWF. The ceremony, which took place on March 31, ahead of Wrestlemania, featured a video of the 43-year-old dancing in the crowd during a WCW show while wearing an NWO-Wolfpack jersey.
In a one-minute clip shared via Twitter on Thursday, Keibler is shown getting her makeup done backstage, hardly able to contain herself. It ends with her walking through the tunnel at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles before making her acceptance speech.
“I was a superfan first and I will always be a superfan,” she said during the speech. “I saw an ad for a dance contest to be the next WCW Nitro Girl. I was a dancer, so I thought, well, if I enter it, I make it to the finals, maybe I could meet Bret Hart.”
A former cheerleader for the Baltimore Ravens, Keibler entered a WCW contest to become a “Nitro Girl” before working her way up to valet to eventually make her in-ring debut for the promotion in 2000. She moved over to WWE as part of the “Invasion” angle that saw WCW stars storm the former after the buyout.
While she never won a championship, Keibler has always been a fan favorite and she can look back on an amazing career that has now come full circle.
