When Marty Jannetty took to Facebook to speak about the time he killed a bowling alley weed dealer who attempted to rape him, most people didn’t know what to believe. Did it actually happen? Was Jannetty telling the truth? Was he just looking for attention? Had he lost his mind?
The claim was at least serious enough for the Columbus Police Department in Georgia to open up an investigation into the incident. And they were given some added info from the man himself, Marty Jannetty, when the former WWE wrestler called into the Boston Wrestling Sports Show to provide more insight into exactly what happened that night.
According to Jannetty, he was acting in self defense, claiming, “if I couldn’t have handled myself, that dude would have raped me.”
Jannetty also goes on to say that, “When I was beating him in the head with a brick, I was only trying to beat his ass, I wasn’t trying to kill him.”
The former tag team champion says he was being fondled by the bowling alley employee in his care while trying to buy weed. But when he attempted to flee, he was grabbed by the hair and shirt, and dragged to the back of the building where the dude attempted to rape him. That’s when Jannetty fought back, resulting in the supposed death of his assaulter.
