Paizutdin Aliyev will now have to live the rest of his days in constant reminder of the decision he made that resulted in a catastrophic injury.
Aliyev attempted a flying armbar while in competition and he reportedly was diagnosed with a brain contusion, a closed craniocerebral trauma and a fracture of the cervical vertebrae with damage to the spinal cord. It is known that as a result of these injuries, the man was paralyzed.
The below video shows him attempting the move, landing on his neck and immediately crying out in pain as he is unable to move anything.
