Professional wrestler Jeff Hardy was arrested for driving under the influence after police say they received calls about a vehicle weaving across traffic.
We are now seeing video of him getting heavily intoxicated as he threw back whiskey while telling a crowd about his relationship with the beverage just hours before his DUI arrest Sunday.
The 44-year-old wrestler was filmed while at a wrestling convention Sunday in Orlando, when he told the crowd, “Whiskey is my best friend and my worst enemy.”
The footage was captured about 12 hours before Hardy was arrested for DUI. According to TMZ, police documents say Hardy had a blood alcohol content (BAC) more than three times the legal limit of .08, registering .294 and .291 on two readings.
Multiple officers drew their weapons as Hardy “reached into a black backpack,” according to the arrest report. It’s the third DUI offense for Hardy in the last 10 years.
