Former WWE star Dave Bautista is sporting a different look, having revealed as much via his Instagram account in June.
Bautista, who went by the name “Batista” as a wrestler, is now one of the more popular actors around, having followed in Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s footsteps. Even at 54, the former ring performer remains in peak shape and recently earned his brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
He celebrated the achievement by taking to the aforementioned platform to show himself in a jiu-jitsu gi while also wearing a full head of hair and a grey beard.
This is not something we see too often. The 54-year-old was mostly clean-shaven as a wrestler and that’s followed him into acting.

It usually takes around five years to get to brown, and Bautista has admitted that the challenge was a steep one.
“I barely trained from 2014 when I got my purple belt to 2021,” he said. Last fall I dedicated myself to progressing and this week it finally happened.”
Other actors such as Vin Diesel and Ryan Reynolds congratulated the former wrestler, who also went by the moniker “The Animal,” for his perseverance.
