The Cavinder Twins were on show during Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
The former University of Miami basketball players have made the transition to wrestling after starring in the NCAA, joining WWE’s Next In Line (NIL) program. And, while they’re yet to make their debuts, they’ve made a few appearances on the company’s shows.
That was the case on Friday night as they went viral, having gotten introduced as “two of the greatest athletes from the University of Miami” by Grayson Waller. Waller, a budding star who has already been in the ring with the likes of Edge and John Cena, had Haley and Hanna join him to throw up the famous “U” sign the Hurricanes use.
You may have found that humorous if you’re aware of the fact that the Cavinders made an appearance on WWE NXT as part of the ‘Chase U’ college parody. Whether or not that brings about some controversy with the NCAA remains to be seen.
The Cavinder Twins are not exactly on great terms with the college sports governing body as the Hurricanes were hit with multiple penalties because they were introduced to someone considered to be a “booster.”
