A star in the wrestling world has been arrested on scary road rage charges. The Orlando Sentinel first reported the news.
Cash Wheeler was arrested in Orlando, Florida on the charge of aggravated assault with a firearm. Wheeler, real name Daniel Wheeler, allegedly flashed a gun during a road rage incident. All of Wheeler’s firearms will have to be turned over to the local sheriff’s department until the case is over, and he is not allowed to have contact with those involved.
A warrant for his arrest was filed last month, which was one day after the incident took place on July 27th. He pleaded not guilty to the charge via his attorney on August 3. The charge is considered a third-degree felony in Florida.
Wheeler had a hearing where his attorney got him released on a $2,500 bond. His attorney noted this was not a domestic issue and did not know the people involved.
One-half of the AEW tag team champions FTR, Wheeler plays a valuable role for the company. He is scheduled to be in a major pay-per-view match at All In on August 27, which takes place at Wembley Stadium in London.
