It’s a sad day in the wrestling world this morning as one of the greatest heels in the WWF/WWE in the 80’s has passed away at age 61.
King Kong Bundy was best known for facing Hulk Hogan in a 1986 steel cage match at WrestleMania 2, which Hogan won.
Promoter and longtime friend David Herro announced Bundy passed away on Monday, stating, “Today we lost a Legend and a man I consider family.”
The 6-foot-4, 458-pound wrestler, whose real name was Christopher Pallies, made his World Wrestling Federation debut in 1981.
