The Phoenix Mercury superstar took to her Instagram story and shared several posts of herself and Cherelle at the baby shower as one picture shows them posing for a photo as Brittany Griner’s wife holds her pregnant belly.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist and six-time WNBA All-Star stated last week alongside her wife and lawyer, Cherelle Griner. “Can’t believe we’re less than three months away from meeting our favorite human being,” the couple captioned a photo of them hand in hand, looking down at sonogram photos over Cherelle’s bump.
Brittney Griner and Cherelle first met in 2013 while they both attended Baylor University. However, it would be Griner in a relationship and marriage with Glory Johnson before the two of them would find love with each other.
Griner’s relationship with Johnson ended on bad terms as both were once arrested for domestic violence. The two of them also decided to have a child, and Griner pays child support.
Brittney and Cherelle got engaged in 2018 and eventually tied the knot in 2019 and have been together ever since.
Brittney Griner Competed In First WNBA Season After Return From Russia
Nine-time All-Star Brittney Griner made an emotional return last season after missing all of 2022 while she was wrongfully detained in Russia on drug charges. She was released via a prisoner swap in December of 2022.
Griner averaged 17.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game while shooting 56% from the field, via ESPN.com. She also finished second in the league in field goal percentage and third in blocks and was named an All-Star starter.
