Everybody was excited to see Caitlin Clark take a swing at golf on Wednesday when she participated in a pro-am at Pelican Golf Club ahead of The Annika.
Clark hit the golf course to play the front nine with Nelly Korda, the best female golf player in the world, who has already clinched the LPGA Tour’s Player of the Year award.
It started off really rough for the Indiana Fever star.
Indiana Fever basketball star Caitlin Clark endured a particularly rocky moment in Wednesday’s Pro-Am at The Annika as she struck the golf ball with the heel of her club, causing it to fire off to her left towards the crowd.
Luckily for her, it bounced over the heads of frightened fans.

Caitlin Clark May Have Spoke Her Bad Shot Into Existence
One of the most highly anticipated events of the women’s basketball offseason took place on a golf course. Indiana Fever superstar and 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark hit the links to participate in an LPGA Golfing pro-am competition that’s called the “Annika.”
Clark had mixed results on the golf course, including nearly hitting fans and then actually hitting one with a golf ball.
She may have spoken it in existence beforehand.
“I’ve tried to practice as much as I can,” Clark said at the LPGA Women’s Leadership Summit on Tuesday. “I’m just the average golfer. I’m going to hit some good, I’m going to hit some bad. Just going to try not to hit anyone standing outside of the ropes. But it’ll be fun.”
