The Las Vegas Aces are one loss away from seeing their 2024 WNBA season come to an end, and it’s clear that tensions have never been higher for Kelsey Plum and her team.
The Aces star struggled mightily during her team’s 88-84 loss to the New York Liberty during Game 2 of their WNBA semifinals series. The 30-year-old all-star had just six points on 2-of-9 shooting while also committing three turnovers.
At one point, things got so bad that cameras actually caught Aces head coach Becky Hammon tearing into the 30-year-old veteran on the bench.
In the clip, which was captured by a fan in the stands, Hammon can be seen pointing and yelling at Kelsey Plum during a timeout. While we don’t know exactly what was being said, it’s quite clear that the Vegas bench-boss was not very happy with her star player’s performance.

New York will have an opportunity to complete the sweep and close things out in Sin City over the weekend. If they can get them job done, they’ll earn a spot in the WNBA Finals, where they will take on either the Connecticut Sun or the Minnesota Lynx.
As for Kelsey Plum, she’ll look to get her groove back after last night’s disappointing performance. Through four postseason games thus far, the Olympic gold medalist is averaging 15.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
