Caitlin Clark is headed to the WNBA after leaving college basketball as its highest-ever scorer.
The former Iowa Hawkeyes star is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick by the Indiana Fever this month. And, while the draft is still a few days away, she is already influencing ticket prices as the team anticipates added interest from fans given how popular the guard has been over the past few years.
Fans have noticed that the cheapest ticket for the upcoming game between the Washington Mystics and the Fever costs $197. Mystics tickets can cost anywhere between $17-41, yet their game against the team Clark is expected to play for costs a whole lot more.
The Las Vegas Aces changed the venues for its game against the Fever from the Michelob Ultra Arena to the T-Mobile Arena, likely in a bid to accommodate more fans.
The Phoenix Mercury are already promoting the supposed beef between Clark and their own star, Diana Taurasi, as a promotional piece for their game against the Fever.
