The Indiana Fever star was putting on an attacking masterclass in the fourth quarter when Caitlin Clark got herself into a little bit of trouble due to her anger.
During the Indiana Fever’s fourth consecutive defeat, Caitlin Clark became enraged and yelled at a referee, which seemed to be captured by ESPN’s microphones.
Despite Caitlin Clark scoring 17 points, Indiana lost to the Connecticut Sun 88-84, its fourth straight defeat.
In the midst of an Indiana run during the game, Clark was punished for a technical foul when she yelled at the officials after Alyssa Thomas of the Suns stole the ball and went the other way.
“It’s a f–king foul,” Clark appeared to scream angrily at the official after she was forced to foul in order to prevent an easy layup.
When Clark tried to slow down Connecticut on the opposite end, she felt as though Thomas had fouled her before her steal. The transition take foul did not improve the situation, as it led to more free throws in crunch time.

“Just the technical foul, can’t get that,” Clark told reporters after the game. “A little frustration of how the game was reffed. But it is what it is. That’s out of your control. I thought our team put ourselves in position to make some plays to try and win down the stretch, and the Sun always came up with big plays.”
The technical foul gave the Sun one free throw, which DeWanna Bonner hit to tie the score. This was a pivotal point in the game, and it was the final instance in which the Fever led.
A back-and-forth struggle on the scoreboard finally resulted in a tie with 30 seconds remaining for the Fever, thanks to a seven-foot jumper made by Aliyah Boston after Caitlin Clark found her.
But with 11.1 seconds remaining, Temi Fagbenle of Indiana was called for a personal foul on Tyasha Harris, which resulted in two free throws. Harris would score two points from each to give Connecticut a two-point advantage over Indiana.
Clark and Indiana will try to win their first game of the season on Wednesday night versus the Seattle Storm.
Caitlin Clark Signs Multiyear Endorsement Deal With Wilson
Wilson Sporting Goods declared on Tuesday that it will “celebrate Clark’s continued legacy” by releasing a signature basketball line for Fever star Caitlin Clark.
The rookie phenom will collaborate with Wilson and help design its basketball products for the WNBA, NBA, and all of basketball.
“Wilson has been with me across some of the most pivotal moments in my career so far, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue driving basketball forward alongside them,” Clark said in a press release via ESPN. “It feels surreal to have my own basketball collection, and to affect what that means for future generations of athletes.”
Wilson will also drop release exclusive collections to celebrate Clark, including a signature basketball line set to debut later in the year.
