After her record-breaking NCAA heroics, Caitlin Clark stepped into the big league of the WNBA with the Indiana Fever as the no.1 draft pick. But since her move, the Fever has been unable to match her high standards. Things have started to get heated on the court as Caitlin Clark was seen getting into an altercation with an opposition player during the latest game.
During Fever’s game against the Seattle Storm, rookie Caitlin Clark was seen bickering with Victoria Vivians in the second quarter. Clark dipped a long 3-pointer to reduce the deficit and as she got back to the other side of the court, Clark was seen having a heated exchange with Vivians.
The altercation soon went viral on social media, and Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley jumped on the occasion. Pat Bev retweeted a post featuring the altercation footage with the caption, “Competition (heart emoji) Luv It.”
Beverley himself was involved in controversy following the Bucks’ first-round exit from the NBA Playoffs. Incidentally, the Pacers, the Indiana counterpart of the Fever, knocked Beverley and his team out.
Clark’s teammates and referees intervened before the situation got out of hand, and both were penalized with technical fouls. This was Clark’s third technical foul in nine games, and frustrations are creeping out amid Fever’s disappointing run.

Caitlin Clark Shines Despite Fever’s Struggles
The game on Thursday night ended in an 88-103 loss for the Fever, their 8th in 9 games. Clark was finding her rhythm as she led with a team-high 9 assists and 20 points, only second to NaLyssa Smith’s 23.
In the 9 games played so far this season, Clark is averaging 17.6 points per game from 37.7% shooting and 32% 3-pts shooting. Her 6.6 assists show her creativity, with a respectable 5.1 rebounds per game.
While Clark picks up steam in her new surroundings, Fever’s struggles continue. “We’re spending too much time talking to the officials. We’ve got to leave that alone. We’ve got to just play our game and let them do their job and not put it in their hands… We shouldn’t get technicals. Let me get the technicals,” said HC Christie Sides after the latest loss.
On Friday, the Fever will take on Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky and things could again get heated given the recent controversy stemming from a deleted post by the former LSU forward.
