Just like in college, the conversation surrounding Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark won’t be ending anytime soon.
It’s been quite the week for the WNBA rookies.
Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese will team up on the WNBA All-Star team to play against the U.S. Olympic team.
The pair of remarkable rookies received thousands of votes. Clark was the leading vote-getter from the fans, receiving 700,735 votes, while Reese was fifth with 381,518 votes.
During this Friday’s edition of “Get Up,” ESPN commentator Monica McNutt argued why she would have Reese as the favorite to win Rookie of the Year over Clark.
She brought up the overall standings as pertaining to the playoffs as well as Reese having 11-straight double-doubles.
“My rookie of the year is going to go based on the standings. That is how you have the opportunity to measure impact. And the Sky right now are in the playoffs. So, you’d have to give the nod in my mind to Angel Reese,” McNutt said. “Look, the double-double streak she’s rocking and rolling. She already has 11 straight.”
