Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese has shared her thoughts on the new women’s basketball league, which is set to debut this WNBA offseason.
Reese is one of the WNBA stars who have signed up for the new league, which has been set up by fellow pros and promises to be the highest-paying women’s tier in sports.
The 3-on-3 league, branded ‘Unrivaled,’ was launched by New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart and Minnesota Lynx standout Napheesa Collier, who were teammates at UConn. It will tip off next January, and Reese has been confirmed as one of its athletes.
The former LSU star looks forward to starring in another space on the back of her productive rookie season for the Sky.
“I’m excited for the league’s first season!” she told Athlon Sports in a recent interview. “It’s amazing to be a part of a league that gives equity to players.
“I’m looking forward to playing with the best athletes and really using the time to focus on my game and getting better too.”

Angel Reese Should Be Ready To Hit The Court Again By The Time The New League Launches
Angel Reese saw her rookie season cut short by a wrist injury. The Sky missed her presence on the floor heading into the final stretch of the campaign, also missing the playoffs and finishing the regular season with a 13-27 record.
Having seen her first year end prematurely, Reese will likely be ready to play again by the time January comes around, while she’s looking to be a lot better than she was in year 1.
Apart from Reese, Stewart, and Collier, other WNBA stars, including Brittney Griner, Kelsey Plum, Arike Ogunbowale, Jackie Young, and Jewell Loyd, have also signed up.
