The 2020 XFL season may have only lasted for five games due to the coronavirus, but it will never be forgotten.
The fans showed up and showed out for their new favorite teams, while millions of others tuned in to watch on television every week.
In a video dedicated to the fans, many XFL players, coaches and executives offered their thanks to the support of the fans as reps from the Seattle Dragons, LA Wildcats, Houston Roughnecks, Dallas Renegades, St. Louis BattleHawks, Tampa Bay Vipers, DC Defenders and New York Guardians all had kind words for the fans who cheered for them.
“XFL fans, you’re the best,” XFL President Jeffrey Pollack said. “We love you and we thank you.”
Houston Roughnecks QB P.J. Walker — St. Louis BattleHawks QB Jordan Ta’amu, as well as many others have since signed contracts with various teams in the NFL.
That alone should give deem this shortened season of the XFL a success.
