The XFL is very different.
The spring football league has returned this year to give football fans another option, with the NFL in its offseason. And, while the basics of the game remain the same, it has put a new spin on football.
The rules are set up to make the games more exciting, and another feature fans appear to love comes in the form of audio. Viewers are able to hear what just about everyone is saying, from the coaches to the coordinators to the players. Even the control center is fully transparent during reviews.
It’s why fans were privy to a certain quarterback telling his teammate to “shut the fuck up” in the huddle during a Week 2 fixture.
Deondre Francois, a former Florida State star, made his XFL debut for the Orlando Guardians on Sunday in what turned out to be a losing effort. While calling a play in the huddle at one point, an offensive lineman thought he had a better suggestion and tried to talk over the QB, who curtly requested that he keep quiet and listen.

Why a lineman was attempting to call a play in the huddle is a mystery in itself, so fans loved the way the former Seminoles QB handled the situation.
Much to the delight of XFL fans, the game was replete with gems as the Guardians went 0-2. Another one came in the form of head coach Terrell Buckley calling the team out on their inability to make plays.
It’s not going to be pretty if they lose three straight…
