Football fans weren’t exactly impressed with the look of the XFL’s South Division championship trophy that was handed to the Arlington Renegades on Saturday night.
The Renegades defeated the Houston Roughnecks 26-11 at TDECU Stadium to punch their ticket to the XFL Championship Game. Arlington will play the DC Defenders, who outlasted the Seattle Sea Dragons 37-21 in the North Division Championship contest.
Arlington may have captured the first of two elusive trophies. Needless to say, however, fans weren’t the least bit pleased with the design of the South Division championship trophy.

The Rock, Garcia and Gardinale successfully relaunched the XFL season in 2023, with the campaign kicking off on Feb. 18 (six days after the 2023 NFL season ended). The championship game between the Renegades and Defenders will be played on May 13.
The XFL confirmed in March that they’re planning to return to action in 2024
