Well, the first week of the 2023 XFL season certainly didn’t lack in entertaining finishes.

The visiting Battlehawks were trailing 18-3 with just 90 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. They scored a late touchdown and made the three-point conversion attempt to make it an 18-12 game.
The XFL allows teams to attempt a 4th-and-15 conversion attempt instead of an onside kick in order to regain possession. The Battlehawks made the attempt and went ahead when A.J. McCarron found Austin Proehl for the go-ahead score in the waning seconds.
St. Louis would hold on for an unforgettable 18-15 victory. Not a bad way to kick off your season.
