Matt Leinart appears to want to make a comeback on the football field.
Leinart, a Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback at Southern California and former first-round NFL pick, recently tweeted he wanted to return to the field with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and the XFL.
From 2003-05, Leinart completed nearly 65% of his passes for 10,693 yards, 99 touchdowns, and 23 interceptions at USC.
His talent in college never really translated to the league as he played in 33 NFL games across six seasons for Arizona, Houston and Oakland. In his career, he completed 366 of his 641 passes for 4,065 yards with 15 touchdowns and 21 INTs.
He is currently working as a college football analyst at Fox.
On top of that news is rapper Wale also taking to Twitter to state that he wants to play in the XFL as well.
