REPORT: XFL Had Already Outpaced AAF With Ticket Sales Before Inaugural Games Kicked Off

The XFL came back in a big way on Saturday as both games delivered in the 2.0 version of the league.

Oliver Luck and Vince McMahon might be on to something the second time around.

Even before the Dc Defenders kicked off against the Seattle Dragons, the XFL had reportedly surpassed ticket sales revenue of the entire AAF season, according to sports business reporter Darren Rovell.

17,163 people reportedly came out to Audi Field in Washington, D.C. to watch the inaugural contest. The capacity for the field is 20,000.

In the second game of yesterday’s XFL doubleheader, the Houston Roughnecks had little trouble defeating the Los Angeles Wildcats, 37-17.

The Roughnecks reportedly had 17,815 fans in attendance at TDECU Stadium.
