Donald De La Haye, better known as YouTuber Deestroying to his many fans online, made his much-anticipated debut in the United Football League as a placekicker Sunday for the San Antonio Brahmas.
The United Football League kicked off on Saturday with a pair of exciting games and kept it going on Sunday as they had a megastar already on the roster that fans wanted to see.
Donald De La Haye, who once gave up college football to continue his career as a YouTube star, decided to continue his career in the United Football League and he finally got a shot on Sunday when he kicked the ball off for his team with just over nine minutes to go in the first quarter of action vs. the DC Defenders.
The YouTube sensation with more than 5.82 million subscribers signed to play in the newly-formed United Football League in February after the XFL and USFL combined forces to become the ultimate professional spring football league.
The 5-foot-9, 170-pound social media star was credited with one extra point made in one attempt across two seasons for the University of Central Florida in 2015-16 as a kicker and receiver.

He rose to fame in 2015 after launching his YouTube channel, which sparked strong criticism from the NCAA for violating their regulations by profiting from his reputation as a collegiate athlete. To play football, he would have to give up his YouTube channel, but he decided to give up football instead.

That turned out to be a wise decision as he now boasts over 5 million subscribers and he still gets to continue his football career in the United Football League with no restrictions. It should be noted that he sued UCF over losing his scholarship and NCAA eligibility in 2018 and settled to finish his education there.
YouTuber Deestroying Could Be A Cash Cow For The United Football League
YouTuber Deestroying may have been kicked off his football team in college over his channel, but he won in the end when he grew his channel to over 5.8 million followers, making him one of the most popular sports content creators in the world.
His popularity could have many more fans coming out to the stadium to see him and the San Antonio Brahmas in the United Football League. With more butts in seats, that means more money being spent on tickets, food, and possibly gear.
