The XFL has had two successful weeks of football as fans are showing up and millions are tuning in to watch the reboot of the league.
Days before the start-up, Johnny Manziel responded to a Twitter follower on possibly signing up to play for the XFL, but he had a bitter response.
“ComebackSZN still alive if y’all ain’t know,” Manziel tweeted. “Just not playing for another league that’s going to fold on you midway through the season.”
It seems as if he has had a change of heart, because on Saturday, he took to Twitter and tweeted his desire to play to XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck.
“Oliver Luck,” Manziel wrote. “If ya wanna boost your ratings to another level just send me the contract tomorrow and we’re in there. Like I said YEARS ago… XFL2020 give the people what they want.”
Manziel deleted his account not long after firing off that tweet.

Manziel was only able to play in two games for the Alliance of American Football before the upstart league went under. The 2012 Heisman Trophy winner had previously stated how much he would love to play for the Houston Roughnecks.
“It’s a stone’s throw from College Station,” Manziel told reporters at a TriStar collectors show in June. “A lot of Aggies drove from Houston to College Station. Houston’s a great city that’ll always be near and dear to me.”
Unfortunately for him, if he signed with the team, he would be a back-up to P.J. Walker who is possibly the leading candidate to be the MVP of the league.
