The XFL is starting on Saturday and the league is severely lacking in star power to get fans to want to tune in. Many thought Johnny Manziel would be an easy choice to sign on with the league, seeing as how he played in the CFL before getting kicked out and the AAF before it went bankrupt.
On Friday, Manizel responded to a Twitter follower on possibly signing up to play for the XFL, but he had a bitter response.
He then followed that up by stating he had no interest in playing in another league that might end up folding.
“ComebackSZN still alive if y’all ain’t know,” Manziel tweeted. “Just not playing for another league that’s going to fold on you midway through the season.”
Manziel was only able to play in two games for the Alliance of American Football before the upstart league went under.

“If I never pick up a ball again it’s all love,” Manziel tweeted. “I was the most lit, most relatable college football player to ever do it. Did things my way and made it way further than I ever could of imagined. The game gave me life and I’ll forever be grateful.”
Manziel hasn’t played in the NFL since 2015, and the way he is going right now, he likely won’t ever make it back after such a promising college football career.
