Sunday’s XFL game between the St. Louis Battlehawks and Arlington Renegades saw 38,310 fans pack The Dome at America’s Center for the Battlehawks’ first home game of the latest version of the XFL
It was easily the biggest crowd in league history for a fan base that has been thirsting for professional football since the Rams moved to Los Angeles.
Speaking of their old team, the 38K fans did not forget about that move, most notably, Stan Kroenke, the owner of the now Los Angeles Rams.
Fan footage from Sunday showed the fans chanting ‘Kroenke Sucks’ during that game.
Don’t expect Kroenke to care much about his old stomping grounds since his team has won a Super Bowl since the move.
St. Louis has used the XFL as a showcase for why football should’ve remained in their neck of the woods. The NFL certainly might be paying attention and could very well put a team back there in the near future.

The Rams as well as the Chargers have both moved to their new home in Inglewood, California, but neither franchise can garner up enough fan interest to have an actual home-field advantage. Both teams usually have to go to a silent count during home games since away fans typiscally takeover the stadium.
St. Louis Battlehawks are showing that fan support for a professional team is alive and well in the city.
