ESPN and the XFL have been giving fans more access to players than they’re used to as they can listen in on plays and see exactly what’s going on in the command center when key officiating decisions are being made. But they took things a little too far this weekend.
The St. Louis Battlehawks recorded a 24-11 win over the Arlington Renegades to go 3-1 on Saturday. Quarterback A.J. McCarron had another good outing, throwing for 214 yards and two touchdowns on 20/27 passing.
Running back Brian Hill would also rush for 89 yards and a TD.
The camera crew followed the Battlehawks into the locker room after the game in an attempt to let viewers in on the post-game celebrations. However, everyone got a tad more than they bargained for as the cameras caught two of the players half-naked.
One of them was fine as he had his jersey off and pants on, but the other had the gear on the other way around. He had his top on but was only wearing KT tape on the lower half of his body.
Fortunately, the player was also holding a towel that prevented his entire package from being shown on live television.

A regrettable accident indeed, yet fans are generally pleased with what they’ve been getting from the XFL, especially during gameplay.
The NFL is even being urged to adopt some of the rules as viewers really seem to enjoy the onside kick and three-point conversion opportunities. Things appear to be looking up for the league but they will have to be a bit more careful when cameras go into the locker rooms.
