When the Oakland Raiders released wide receiver Antonio Brown prior to the first regular-season game, it was almost a foregone conclusion that he would end up on the Patriots. Hours later, it actually happened.
That lasted all of eleven days before they released him as well. Now, his career remains in limbo as the NFL continues to investigate sexual assault claims against him.
During a recent Instagram live video, Brown was asked would he join the XFL, but he made sure fans knew that wasn’t an option.
“XFL, never,” Brown said during a live stream on Instagram. “That’s not even in the question.”
In 2020, Vince McMahon will be bringing the XFL back after it failed back in the early 2000’s after just one season. For all the controversy he brings off the field, Antonio Brown would be the perfict person to get even more eyes on the XFL, but the money he would get would be nowhere near the same as he would receive in the NFL.
