Famous US Open beer-chugger Megan Lucky is going viral once again, but this time because she is claiming she was denied the chance to appear on the jumbotron for a third time.
If you’re a fan of tennis, you might remember the woman who went viral for chugging a beer at the US Open in 2021 and 2022. In the wake of her back-to-back beer-chugging stunts, she has amassed over 114k followers on Instagram as a result of her impressive drinking skills and her beauty.
However, Lucky says that she didn’t get the chance to shine at this year’s US Open and there was a sinister reason why. She would take to social media to address the situation after fans were left disappointed and confused when she didn’t appear on the big screen for a third round.
27-year-old Megan Lucky said in an Instagram post that she wasn’t sure why she was seemingly snubbed in 2023. She said in an Instagram post on Sunday that “whoever was in charge didn’t want me on the jumbotron this year”.
“I don’t know their reasons, they didn’t share them with me, but I still had a lot of fun and I’m at peace with it,” Ms. Lucky said in the video.

Lucky added that she might take her ‘Beer Girl’ persona to another sporting event very soon as a result of being apparently denied the chance to chug for the audience.
“I obviously went to the US Open this past weekend, and for whatever reason, whoever was in charge, did not want me on the jumbotron this year,” she explained.
“I don’t know their reasons, they didn’t share them with me, but I still had a lot of fun and I’ve made my peace with it. I know the universe has a plan for me, and like I said last time, ‘Beer Girl’ is part of me, and maybe I’ll take her to another sport that wants some of her fun-loving energy soon.”
“But as for now, this is not the end, it is only the beginning of a new era.”
Lucky had been able to parlay some of her notoriety into business opportunities as told The Post she partnered with several alcohol brands including Truly – but is looking to grow her personal brand more.
“I still haven’t been able to truly monetize. So I’m starting to post more on my socials,” she said in an interview last month.
