Hill started his college career at Garden City Community College and was a highly sought-after player when he was eventually recruited by Oklahoma State University in 2014. He then transferred to the University of West Alabama for the 2015 season.
In 2014, Hill was arrested on allegations of assaulting his 20-year-old pregnant girlfriend, Crystal Espinal. The police report is very graphic, and Hill was sentenced to three years of probation, anger management, and a year-long batterer’s program. The arrest prevented him from being able to attend the 2016 NFL Combine, but Hill still managed to be selected in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Tyreek Hill’s contract was a four-year $2.58 million contract. Despite having many highlights in the NFL, including being a three-time First-team All-Pro, and six-time Pro Bowler and being a part of the NFL 2010’s All-Decade Team, Hill has still managed to stay in the news for abuse.
In 2019, Hill was investigated for alleged child abuse after his three-year-old son suffered a broken arm. His son was placed into temporary care, but after medical examiners determined that the break was a result of an accidental fall, the NFL stated that Hill would not be suspended, as he did not violate the personal conduct policy.
