Tony Romo played college football at Eastern Illinois before being undrafted in the 2003 NFL Draft.  Shortly after, he was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Dallas Cowboys. He was the backup to Drew Bledsoe before being named the starter in 2006. He was the Cowboys’ primary starter from 2006-2015 and helped lead them to four postseason appearances. He lost his starting position to Dak Prescot in the 2016 preseason after a back injury and was hired by CBS Sports to become the lead color analyst for the NFL telecasts.  

Tony Romo has been under a lot of criticism for his broadcasting abilities in recent years, with many believing that his analysis has begun to regress. Some believe he has started to make less sense, shouting at viewers and talking too much during the broadcasts.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has had a career like few others. He began as a little known backup, but after taking over for Drew Bledsoe in 2006, Romo has become a franchise quarterback.
