Robert Quinn is an American football player who currently plays as a defensive end and is a free agent in the National Football League (NFL). Robert Quinn was born on May 18, 1990, in Ladson, South Carolina, and attended Fort Dorchester High School in North Charleston, South Carolina. After high school, he played college football at the University of North Carolina, where he was a standout defensive end for the Tar Heels. In his sophomore season, he was named a first-team All-American and was a finalist for several national awards.
Quinn was selected by the St. Louis Rams in the first round (14th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played for the Rams for seven seasons before being traded to the Miami Dolphins in 2018. He played for the Dolphins for one season before signing with the Dallas Cowboys in 2019.
Quinn signed a five-year, $70 million contract with the Chicago Bears in April 2020. In the 2021 season, Quinn had a career-high 3.5 sacks in a game against the Baltimore Ravens and was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month in November. He broke the Bears’ single-season franchise sack record and finished the season with 18.5 sacks, earning him a Pro Bowl selection and a second-team All-Pro nod. He was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in October 2022 and reached the Super Bowl with the team but they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Quinn is known for his speed, agility, and pass-rushing skills, and he has been one of the top defensive ends in the NFL throughout his career.
