Richard Sherman played college football at Stanford from 2006-2010. He entered the 2011 NFL Draft and was selected 154th overall by the Seattle Seahawks. He began his NFL career as the fourth cornerback on the depth chart, but was able to finish his rookie season with 55 combined tackles and four interceptions, and was selected to the 2011 PFW All-Rookie team. Since entering the league, Sherman has had the most interceptions and defended passes of any active player. He was a part of the “Legion of Boom”, Seattle’s starting secondary, and helped them win the Super Bowl in 2014. During his time with the Seahawks, they led the league in scoring defenses from 2012-2015.
Shermans ruptured his Achilles tendon in week 10 of the 2017 season and was released by the Seahawks for the 2018 season. From there he went on to play for the San Francisco 49ers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
