Players are voted into the NFL Pro Bowl by the coaches, the players themselves, and the fans, with each accounting for 1/3 of the votes. To be considered a ‘Pro Bowler’, a player must have been selected through the voting process or invited as an alternate. Alternates who decline are not considered Pro Bowlers. There is a sort of ‘gentleman’s agreement’ to only do light tackling in the Pro Bowl. The AFC has won since 2016.
