Paul Pierce played college basketball for the University of Kansas from 1995-1998. He entered the 1998 NBA Draft and was selected 10th overall by the Boston Celtics, where he played until 2013.
In 2000, Paul Pierce was stabbed 11 times and had a bottle smashed over his head while at a dance club in the Boston Theater District. He underwent surgery, but this did not stop him from starting all 82 games in the 2000-2001 season.
Pierce was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in 2013 and was again traded to the Washington Wizards in 2014. He opted out of his second-year contract with the Wizards to become a free agent and was picked up by the Los Angeles Clippers for the 2015-2017 seasons.
