Born on January 6, 1987, in Portland, Oregon, Ndamukong Suh attended Grant High School, where he excelled in football, basketball, and track and field. After high school, Suh played college football at the University of Nebraska, where he was a two-time consensus All-American and won numerous awards, including the Lombardi Award and the Chuck Bednarik Award.
In 2010, Suh was drafted second overall by the Detroit Lions in the NFL Draft, where he played for five seasons and earned four Pro Bowl selections and three first-team All-Pro honors. After his time in Detroit, Suh played for the Miami Dolphins for three seasons and the Los Angeles Rams for two seasons.
Suh signed a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019, and during the season, he had two defensive touchdowns, tied a franchise record for fumbles returned for touchdowns, and was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame All-2010s Team. Suh re-signed with the Buccaneers in 2020, recorded his first two sacks of the season in Week 2, and won the Super Bowl with the team. He re-signed with the Buccaneers in 2021, but after the season, he signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022 and appeared in eight games.
