Mike Trout started his professional career out of high school in 2009 playing for the rookie-level Arizona League. Before the 2010 season, he was considered Arizona’s third-best prospect and became the youngest player to win the Topps Minor League Player of the Year Award. He was promoted to the Los Angeles Angels in July of 2011, but was sent back to Double-A after hitting .163. He was called back up to the majors and hit two home runs in his first game back, becoming the youngest Angel to hit two home runs in one game. In 2012, he won the AL Rookie of the Year Award.
