Marshon Lattimore is an American professional football player who currently plays as a cornerback for the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League (NFL). He was named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2017, was selected to the Pro Bowl four times, and helped the New Orleans Saints reach the playoffs in three of his five seasons with the team. Marshon Lattimore was born on May 20, 1996, in Cleveland, Ohio, and attended Glenville High School where he was a standout athlete in football and track. After high school, Lattimore attended Ohio State University, where he played college football for three seasons. In 2016, he was named a consensus All-American and was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
In September 2021, Marshon Lattimore signed a five-year contract extension worth $97.6 million with the New Orleans Saints. He was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week in Week 5 of that season after defending six passes in a win against Washington.
In the 2022 season, he was ejected during a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for fighting with Mike Evans, and later suffered a lacerated kidney in a game against the Seattle Seahawks, causing him to miss several games.
In March 2023, Lattimore was arrested for possession of a loaded handgun believed to be stolen and faced charges of possession of a concealed weapon and receiving stolen property.
Off the field, Lattimore is known for his charitable work in the community. He has hosted a youth football camp in Cleveland and has been involved in various initiatives to promote education and youth development.
