Joe Flacco played college football for the University of Pittsburgh briefly before transferring to the University of Delaware where he set 20 school records. He entered the 2008 NFL Draft and was chosen 18th overall by the Baltimore Ravens. He became the Raven’s starting quarterback from 2008 through 2018, helping lead the team to the playoffs six times. In 2012, the Ravens made it all the way to the Super Bowl, where they defeated the San Francisco 49ers.
Flacco’s performance began to decline after 2017, and he was traded to the Broncos in 2019. A neck injury ended his season and he was released and picked up by the New York Jets where he was the backup to Sam Darnold, but saw some playing time due to Darnold injuring his shoulder. He was once again traded to the Eagles in 2021 as a backup to Jalen Hurts and was then traded back to the Jets. He has seen playing time with the Jets due to Zach Wilson injuries and poor performance.
