Jay Cutler played college football for Vanderbilt from 2001-2005 and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in human and organizational development. He entered the 2006 NFL Draft and was selected 11th overall by the Denver Broncos, and 2007 was his first full season as starting quarterback. He was traded to the Chicago Bears in 2009 and stayed with the team until 2016 before finishing his time in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins.
Jay Cutler’s wife was Kristin Cavallari, but the two announced their divorce in 2020 and officially divorced in 2022. Cutler does volunteer work for young people with developmental disabilities through Vanderbilt’s “Best Buddies” program. He has type 1 diabetes and teamed up with Eli Lilly and Company for a campaign called “Touchdowns for Diabetes”.
