At the University of Alabama, Hurts broke the school record for the most touchdowns in a single season with 36. He was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Year, SEC Freshman of the Year, and broke multiple records at the University of Alabama. He completed his bachelor’s in communication and information sciences and decided to continue his college career and transfer to the University of Oklahoma for this final year of eligibility. In his first game with Oklahoma, he broke the school’s single-game yardage record with 508 yards and he helped lead them to a Big 12 Championship.
Hurts entered the 2020 NFL Draft and was selected 53rd overall by the Philadelphia Eagles. In his debut season in the NFL, Hurts moved his way up from the third-string quarterback to the starter. In 2021, Jalen led all quarterbacks in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. In 2022, Jalen Hurts became the first Eagles quarterback to lead the team to an 8-0 record.
