Emmitt Smith played college football at the University of Florida before entering the 1990 NFL draft. He was selected in the first round by the Dallas Cowboys, where he played until 2003. He finished his career with a two-year stint in Arizona before announcing his retirement in 2005. He signed a 1-day contract with the Cowboys in order to retire a Cowboy.
