DeAndre Hopkins is a wide receiver in the NFL and currently plays for the Arizona Cardinals. He is a five-time Pro-Bowler and five-time All-Pro. DeAndre played college football from 2010–2012 before making the decision to enter the NFL Draft. Coming out of Clemson, he was considered to be one of the top wide receivers but made news after the hotel room that he stayed at after the NFL combine was found to be left with urine and feces all around the bathroom. Hopkins was ultimately selected by the Texans in the first round with the 27th pick of the 2013 NFL Draft. DeAndre Hopkins’ contract was a four-year $7.62 million contract.
After an impressive rookie season, Hopkins was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team for the 2013 season and continued on to be the Texans’ leading receiver in 2014. He was also the NFL receiving touchdowns leader in 2017.
DeAndre Hopkins’s has had a life filled with tragedy. His mother was the victim of an attack where she suffered burns on 17% of her body and was left completely blind. Her attacker was having an affair with her boyfriend and threw boiling bleach and lye on her. Hopkin’s father died in a car accident when DeAndre was five months old.
