Cole Beasley is an American football wide receiver who is currently a free agent in the National Football League (NFL). Cole Beasley was born on April 26, 1989, in Houston, Texas, and grew up in Little Elm, Texas. He attended Little Elm High School, where he played football, basketball, and ran track. After graduating in 2008, Beasley attended Southern Methodist University (SMU), where he played college football for the Mustangs from 2008 to 2011. He finished his college career with 255 receptions for 2,868 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Beasley signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2012 and played for the team for seven seasons. During his time with the Cowboys, he was known for his precise route running and ability to make tough catches in traffic. He was also a fan favorite for his gritty play and determination.
In 2019, Beasley signed with the Buffalo Bills as a free agent. He quickly became one of quarterback Josh Allen‘s favorite targets, finishing the season with 67 receptions for 778 yards and six touchdowns. Beasley continued his strong play in 2020, finishing the season with 82 receptions for 967 yards and four touchdowns and has a solid 2021 NFL season with 82 receptions for 693 yards and one touchdown. Beasley was released by the Bills and then signed to the Buccaneers practice squad before retiring in October 2022. However, he returned to the Bills’ practice squad in December 2022 and was eventually signed to their active roster in January 2023.
