Christian played college football at Stanford where he was named AP College Football Player of the Year in 2015. He decided to enter the 2017 NFL Draft and was drafted eighth overall by the Carolina Panthers. He signed a four-year, $17.2 million rookie contract with a sign-on bonus of $10.7 million.
