Brandin Cooks is a wider receiver in the NFL and currently plays for the Houston Texans. Brandin played college football at Oregon State from 2011–2013 before he was selected by the New Orleans Saints as the 20th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. In addition to football, Brandin Cooks also ran track and field in college and even earned himself a second-place finish in the 60-meter dash with 6.81 seconds.
Brandin Cooks’ contract with the Saints was a four-year $8.3 million deal. He doubled his total yards from his rookie season to his second season with the Saints, and in 2016 he finished 7th in the NFL for receiving yards. Cooks was traded to the Patriots in 2017 and helped bring them to Super Bowl 52 where he sustained a concussion midway through the game and was sidelined for the rest of the championship. The Patriots ultimately lost to the Philadelphia Eagles. He was traded to the Rams in 2018 and was again traded to the Texans in 2020. In 2022, Cooks signed a two-year contract extension with the Texans worth $39.6 million with $36 million guaranteed.
